Team

Phase Space Labs is founded by Wonsuk Jeong. Previously co-founder and CTO of Datafruit (YC S25), where he built and led engineering teams delivering agentic systems for enterprise workflows. Research background in MoE architecture optimization and quantum denoising diffusion models at Georgia Tech.

Who we want to work with

We are a small lab working on hard problems without an established playbook. The people we are most interested in are those who want to build at the frontier and are comfortable with deep uncertainty. If any of the below sounds like you, reach out at wjeong335 [at] gmail.com.

Quantum physicists

People with hands-on experience in quantum circuit design, quantum information theory, or quantum simulation. We are particularly interested in those who have thought carefully about parameterized quantum circuits and noise processes in Hilbert space.

Distributed systems engineers

People who know how to scale training across heterogeneous hardware — quantum simulation backends alongside classical GPU clusters. Experience with distributed training, cloud infrastructure, and low-level systems optimization.

Research engineers

People comfortable working at the boundary of classical deep learning and quantum circuit optimization — implementing hybrid pipelines, designing training loops that handle both primary and auxiliary quantum objectives, and writing code that is correct before it is fast.
